S&W Model 29-2 Question

Hi guys,

I was wondering if you've got any what's the going rate for a 29-2 these days. With the exchange rate as it is now, seems like the gunbroker will make you go broke.

Expect to pay 1k and up for a decent one.

At least $1k probably closer to $1500 with the presentation box, tools and paperwork.

I have a 29-2 in absolute mint condition that I have never fired but it has no papers or box etc. I Can't bring myself to dirty it in any way. Safe Queen for sure. I personally wouldn't sell it for less than $1500 but that may just be me. Interested on other opinions out there. How do other people value their mint 29-2s. How often do you shoot them.....or do you leave the heavy-lead throwing to the Redhawks and SRHs?!

Epps just sold two this week for under $650 one was a No dash and a dash 2 i was to late to see the add or i would have bought both of them.

Looks like they both had blued frames and had been rebarreled with nickel barrels. No thanks

Not sure what others would sell for, but as mentioned, my mint in the presentation box (with papers and cleaning kit) 29-2 wouldn't leave my safe for less than $1500. My nickel, though shot, is still EX condition and I just wouldn't sell it, it's too pretty. Well, maybe if someone just had to have it (like I did).

Some guys in the States go for that look..."pinto" guns I think they call them. Too wacky for my taste.
