S&W Model #3 44 Russian

A friend passed away in 2007 and his daughter is thinking of disposing of some of his guns.

One is a S&W Model 3 in 44 Russian.

It resembles this copy very much. I had a close look at it shortly before my friend died.

I believe it is from around 1900.

Any idea on a ballpark range of values?
