S&W Model 39

Yup. Bits of Pieces. He's in BC. It'll probably cost you around $300-$400. Not sure if his prices increased.....

"...$300-$400..." More than the pistol is worth. If you want a 39 and you don't have the prohibited permit, you'd be better off buying something else.

Longer Mod 39 barrel

I have seen a Model 39 with the barrel extended about 10 mm with a machined bushing. The end of the barrel must have been turned down and this bushing shrunk fit to the barrel. The id of the extended part of the bushing was greater than the id of the barrel so the bullet would not actually contact the bushing.
It would be a fairly economical mod.

not legal for the purpose of extening the barrel lenght anymore.

Hmmmmm. Yes and no. If you have one and want it restricted then yes it would be worth it to rebarrel. If you are buying one to make it restricted it would be worthless.

The only possibility for the first scenario would be if you didn't register your pistols originally and didn't have 12.6. Which is what happened to a guy that I know. Which is why I know about the $300-$400.
