A beautifully made pistol but can have problems with ejection. A spring kit is available and will solve the problem when the correct spring is installed. Great to have a pistol that is constructed from steel ,not `tupperware` material.!!
My 41 was the first handgun I ever owned. I bought it used. The gentleman who sold it to me 12 years ago, told me at the time it can be finicky about ammo. It took me a while to fine something that would eject smoothly. For my pistol, YMMV, I found that either really expensive target standard velocity (think $20.00 per box of 100) or just simple Remington target standard velocity.
Once I found the Remington worked reliably in it, I ordered 10 bricks and I still haven't made a dent in that stash.

I've got an early model with the 7 3/8" barrel and it's the best .22 auto that I have. Solid target platform, very accurate with decent ammo and easy to field strip for cleaning. If you stick with low velocity rounds you should have no problem. The M41 was designed around that type of ammo and performs best with it.
Get a S&W M17 too, you'll have the best .22 target revolver to go with the M41.
