S&W Model 69 .44 Magnum. Hickok45 Review.

So has anybody tried this little boomer out yet? The 4.2 inch 629 kicks pretty good I imagine this one has a wallop.

Recoil with my mid range loads (8gr Titegroup, 240gr Kieth type) is much sharper than in the 6" 629. I'd probably not shoot even those all day. I've not yet had the nerve to pop a few of my 18gr 2400 loads through it, and I'm not sure that I want to.

I treat it more as a 44 special. I also speculate how well it would stand up to a steady diet of magnums

Still, I would have to assume that they know what they are doing and have engineered this gun to guarantee an acceptable service life, if I'm not being completely naive.

Or at least engineered it such that the shooter wears out first!

Did pickup one at the SFRC sale, i dont have it yet but i tried it at the range from a member, good shoothig revolver.
