A lot of confusion over that model. Some places in the US advertise them with a 4.25" barrels but apparently they are just under the legal limit here with the compensator removed. 'Apparently' some, in stock form, made it up here a while ago and were promptly seized (not sure I have a reliable source for that)

Anyway if the stock version is a prohib, and yours is a verifiable, factory installed barrel, yours is pretty unique. I would certainly pay more for it than a standard 5" Classic as I like the unfluted cylinder and the trigger jobs on those are great. Some may also like the more traditional barrel styling compared to the comped barrel. Hard to say on value. Might be worth more to some but less to others. Would probably net out pretty close (maybe a little under if i had to choose, but not much).

Did you pay full V-comp price? Curious to know how it shoots as that is really the most important part.

V-comps sell for around $1400usd. Yours looks in nice shape. I think that was a fair price. Can't see you loosing money if you flipped. The 5" full lug 629s are probably the most popular. Definitely post a range report.

Very nice. Good to know it has it where it counts. That is a great score. Too bad they don't bring in more like that. I find many of the Performance Centre models a little avant garde for my tastes. I do like the stock v-comp but would spring for one like yours for sure.

Too bad about the Ruger but the Smith should more than make up for it. If you were shooting well with the 44, i doubt it is you.
