Update could not resist shooting the gun today, 250rds fired not a single hiccup, and one hell lot less recoil than either the XD.40/Glock 22/USP.40, very enjoyable and the comments from the other shooters present was based on owning the 3 othger pistols listed, they all thought it had less recoil and muzzle flip, faster on target recovery, without any of the pain associated in the palm of your hands.

Here is the verdict as it stands after shooting the gun, 1850 rounds of assorted factory ammo, zero malfunctions with the M&P, we tried in vain to induce problems but failed, none of the roll pins drifted out as what was reported on ar15.com, the medium size grip was used and we had shooters of both ###es use it without any problems, shortest shooter was 5"1 and tallest was about 6"4, muskyhunter was also present and can provide additional information on the M&P and its performance.

1850 rds with no ill effect.
Trigger: Very light CONSISTENT trigger, around 6-7 lbs. Very smooth. There is no reset so you must learn the new trigger system, kind of hard to learn at first but was okay after a few hundred rds. I would like too see how the trigger holds up at 20-30k rds...
Frame: Solid, feels better than Glock, HK, P99, or Beretta. You must hold one. The downside is the mag. safety. No firing without a mag. Also, you must sling shot the slide to load a rd in the chamber. THe slide release is very hard to release!!!
I am very impressed. The recoil was minimal.
