S&W parts

I'm looking for parts for my 686 revolver nam ely the sideplate and the retention screw.
I think it's a 5th generation (not sure how to tell)
Where could I get these parts ?

Try Wortners in Chatham...they do warrenty work for S&W, so they could probly help you!

Call Smith & Wesson. They have sent me free parts in the past.

Try Numrich or Brownells.Ive ordered from both in the past with success.

Side plates usually need to be fitted. I'm guessing they'll tell you it has to go to a 'smith. - dan

MD Charlton & Co. S&W warranty rep. I would think a side plate would also have to be hand fitted.

The gun will have to go back to S&W for the sideplate.
