This first picture is decieving as the scanner did not like the margins of the image & tried to cut it smaller than it actually is. What is missing is the five other bullet holes just high, and some left of the target paper. This S&W model 64 is finally growing on me. 25 yards, two handed. 3 inch black.
As the evening disappeared on me, the black flies came out of hiding. So what you see here is a furious expeniture of three different 44 special loads, all in a comparatively short span of time at 25 yards, two hand hold. 8 inch black.
Using the Winchester 30-30 carbine, from a rest at 100 yards, this three shot group was with 125 grain HP Sierras.
(I have presently misplaced my loading data for these very old handloads!)
Although I let the carbine cool down between groups. And I shot my compound bow while waiting, I suspect the cooling time was insufficient this evening. My endevours to rezero the sights were fruitless, and I had limited daylight. So the rifle shooting was sadly, cut short to shoot handguns. 8 inch black.
PS: I thank Silverback for kind use of his scanner!
