S&W revolver in .22 k22/17-

I am craving to buy a S&W revolver in .22lr. I have seen the 617+ss at the shop, but I think I prefer something more classic. I'd like to buy a k22 or a 17 something in blue. Since, Smif do not produce them anymore, the used ones are a bit pricy IMO. How much for one in +/-95% condition or one mint. Please do not direct me to EE, I just can't buy used without having the thing in my hands. I saw one for 550$ but I want to check with you first. + if you see anything around Montreal, please let me know.

$550 for a 95%+ sounds reasonable. I've yet to see one in any condition under $450 or so.

I bought my VG 17-3 for $350 2 years ago on the EE.

Depends - the older models (5 screw 4 screw etc) will fetch more in general than the more common 3 screw models.

They're beautiful revolvers IMO much better built than the modern 617. I also think they balance better without the full underlug.

Is my 17-3 a 3 screw or an older 4/5 screw? Sorry I'm away and can't look at it.

I prefer the pinned barrel model 17's.
