S&W Revolver Sight Question

I am looking for an adjustable target sight for a S&W model 14. This revolver has a square tang. Right now, many sight makers are only making sights for new rounded tang sights. This leads me to ask, if you can take a sight off a new revolver and graft it onto an older S&W. I know anything is possible with money and time, but would the graft be a little job or is it a foolish endeavor.

You should be able to find what you need on Ebay, but it shouldn't be too tough to fit a round tang sight physically to a square tang sight revolver. I'm not sure if the thread sizes remained the same, however. - dan

I appreciate the suggest to check out Ebay, I have been for several days with no luck.

Millett used to make a target sight but no longer do.

LPA and Millet make one with a rounded tang (issue of how to convert it)

Jack Weigand - makes a rear sight blade, but can't sell it to CDNs...

So if anyone knows how easy it would be to convert a round tang rear sight to fit a square tang I would sincerely appreciate the information.
