So my buddy wants a S&W revolver. Main criteria is 357 Mag, 5-6" barrel, blued, 5-8 shot cylinder.

Sadly the S&W website is hard to navigate and we can't seem to find a way to see all available models spread out on one page with specs and MRSP for easy comparison.

Any way to do this?

See, they have so many models and non-cataloged items that I'm sure shops stock that the website is virtually useless. I've already been there...

S & w 586

Hi! I'm looking at selling my S & W 586: revolver, lightly used, spits .357 & 38 spl, 6 inch barrel, 6 round cylinder, beautifully blued. I have accessories: pancake holster, 4 speed loaders, 50 dummy rounds. If he's interested I will post some pix.

He's saving up right now, it will likely be in a while. He has tuition to pay :/

Buy a S&W 627 Performance Center 8 shot with the 5 inch barrel. I got one used from P&D Ent 3 years ago and It is by far the nicest guy I own. Well worth the price and the quality is superb.

If you want something nice SPEND THE MONEY! Cheapskates piss me off, they always complain nice things are expensive, but never spend the extra so they are perpetually miserable and envious.

Here Ellwood Epps is selling a S&W 327 TRR8 PERFORMANCE CENTER for just over $1,500, or how about a 686 7 shot for $950?

I bucked up and got the 627 3 months ago and loved it. The previous owner shot maybe 200 rounds thru it. practically brand new. I have never looked back...

Go here and use the pull-down menu to narrow your search for .357:

I don't think it's a catalogue item, but there is a version of the 686 with a 5" barrel and unfluted 7 shot cylinder that I think is kind of neat.

686 Stocking Dealer Special. As I understand it, any retailer that sells `x` amount (sry, don`t know how much) of S&W merchandise is given the option of selling these beauties as well. :D

Just bought myself a 686 stainless 6" 6-shooter today, my first firearm purchase.

Over 25 years ago a 686 was my first handgun purchase as well. Mine is a stainless 6" 6 shot 686 "Classic Hunter" with an unfluted cylinder. It's the only handgun I have never considered selling. Lots of others have come and gone....I hope you'll like yours as much as I like mine.
