S & W SD9VE Assembly Issue

Madcap, the factory trigger spring is the contributing factor to the mushy feel. Quite frankly it is one of the deficit of the m&p style trigger. Putting in a glock trigger spring greatly leviate that problem, but its still there a little bit.

Madcap what I have found is that if you lightly polish the triangle part of the trigger bar at the rear, it helps smooth out the trigger pull.

also, the glock reduced power safety plunger spring fit in the sd9 as well too. Give that a go, it will smooth out that trigger

Cyphie, if you have just the spring kit, its irrelevant to you, as mad cap and I were talking bout the apex sd poly trigger

I have the Apex polymer trigger and spring kit in my SD9VE and it's pretty good. Trigger pull is still long and reset too but definitely much better than the stock set up and I can shoot it quite well. Considering how little I have invested in the gun I'm pretty happy.

My Apex trigger didn't need any filing. It was a little awkward getting the trigger pivot pin out (trigger spring kept getting stuck in the notch on the pin), but after that the install went like clockwork.

When i get a spare sear housing. I will try attempting to shorting the rest. Once i get this done, i will post up the steps and result
