S&W SD9VE USA or Canada

I've been looking at the new Ruger Security-9. It still hasn't hit the market.
One thing led to another and I'm getting a Smith&Wesson SD9VE
Barrel Length on the Canadian dealer site is 4.25" but on the Smith & Wesson
website it says 4" (which is less than the usual 4.13" minimum barrel length
for restricted.)

I wonder if they make a Canadian version that is .25" (quarter of an inch) longer
for the Canadian Market.

I was trying to place a wishlist with IRunGuns for the Ruger Security-9.
Their USA Shop lists it at 4" which they say is short of the Canadian minimum of 4"¼.

Does anyone know how to check if the Ruger Security-9 is on our FRT of Restricteds?

Less than 4 is prohib. US dont have that problem. You have to buy a canadian spec compact gun regaress if its a ruger, glock or s&w.

Ruger should be restricted if the sample gun has a barrel longer than 106mm.. in US spec factory form, it is prohibited.

Irg probably wont have those and you have to buy the gun and a compliance barrel to go with it.
Which is what i had to do with my p229.

The model available in Canada is the "Smith & Wesson SD9 VE Low Capacity" which is 4.25" on the S&W web site.
