S&W Victory is cheaper than Ruger Mark IV?

Better is subjective but the Ruger has time and a very good reputation on its side. Personally, I'd get the SW if I was only going to plink.

The Ruger has a one button take down feature which makes it appealing to most. I don't have a problem with taking out the one Allen head bolt to take down my victory. It's a fun little pistol that has chewed threw every brand of ammo I've tried. I shoot at least 4-500 rounds threw it each trip to the range. Really want to order the trigger and compensator from tandam Kross soon.

And what about Ruger® SR22™ Rimfire Pistol - will it chew through every brand of ammo as well?

I have no experience with any Ruger rimfire pistol. But my 10/22 was picky. That's why I sold it and got a couple Henry's... A pump and lever. Both eat everything flawless.

...This isn't relevant to pistols at all, with the exception of maybe the blasphemous Charger "pistol". lol

Don't know about the victory but sold my ruger mark 2 after getting a browning buckmark.

Might want to add that one to the equation.

Steel challenge, we see the top three guys run Ruger, Buckmark and S&W.
So they are all very capable guns.
ALL have had issues at one point or another.

Personally I grew up shooting the old MKII and III so I love my MKIV 22/45 lite. If you need to clean in the middle of a match it is the best.

I have both Victory and Ruger Mark IV competition. Ruger is more good looking and easier to clean. But Victory’s stock trigger is even better than the Tendamkross trigger I put on Ruger. I like both and shoot them equally. Both can get 3-inch group with 10 round at 25 yards when I perform well. I barely get any FTE or FTF with either one.

Really can't find a better deal for a quality .22 handgun ,unfortunately the price has now gone back up to $499 at go tenda , i scooped one at $380 yesterday, super pumped , and looking forward to trying it, and adding some accesories. anyone else add some accessories to their s&w victory ? i'm thinking of adding a green dot and a scope. any ideas ?

People will argue, but if you have good eyesight, the holographic and dot optics are more of a handy-cap over the iron sights.

One neat option that I hope is more useful eventually is the Victory's ability to change barrels with just one bolt too. Would be great to have a couple different lengths to play with.

It's actually at 369$ now. It's part of their 5 day sale, it will be at that price until 3pm May 16th. You must have caught it back up at 499$ just between sales...
