SA bipod that attaches to bayonet lug ?

I have a as new Springfield armory folding bipod that attaches to the bayonet lug of a M1a rifle,i believe these were made in the late 70s early 80s.I would appreciate any info (model number and value etc ) i don't imagine it helped accuracy much being at the end of the barrel,but would be good way to display the rifle.Any info is appreciated thanks.

Your bipod sounds like what is described in M14 Rifle History and Development Fifth Edition:

"In 1979, Rock Island Armory (Geneseo, IL) produced and sold a reproduction T44 Type II bipod (referred to as a Type I bipod in other references). The item was marketed as BIPOD, M1. This bipod attached to the bayonet lug of any M1 Garand or M14 type rifle. Reportedly, 200 of the BIPOD, M1 units were made. They retailed for $42.00 each."
