Greetings everyone,
I want to share some pictures of my M1
. I took me almost 2 years to find one like this, but I think it was worth it. As far as I can tell it is a Springfield Armory M1, and all the parts appear to be SA and original as well; except for the stock as I have no idea.
The serial number is very low; 6 digits, compared to the ones that I have seen pictures of in the 7 digit range. I checked online and my serial# places it in 1941. The person I got it from had limited details about so maybe someone here on CGN could fill me in.
I have taken it to the range, and it is absolutely a fantastic shooter, very nice groupings with Hornady 150 gr FMJBT with 46gr IMR4895.
I just had a question about the barrel serial as it's not followed by ###### SA, just wondering if its SA made or by a different manufacturer.
Thanks.
