SA M1A Socom II

Never handled the SOCOM II, but I've fired the SOCOM 16. (Same thing, but without the rails, basically). It was pretty damn cool. I liked it. I don't see any reason not to like it. I think the crazy chassis systems are a little overkill. It's fine in its stock configuration, but personal choice, really.

I have to agree...the SOCOM 16 looks better without the rails imo.
Any Sponsors selling the SOCOM 16?

It's because this thread that I'm getting the itch to get one of these fantastic battle rifles. Please correct me if I'm wrong but both the SOCOM II and 16 are restricted(?)
When does one of these rifles(or similar) become non-restricted?
I gotta stop coming here because my cabinet is starting to bulge.....

The SOCOM rifles have a 16.25" barrel length, the "regular" SA M1A and the Norc M305 have a 22" barrel. When I had my Norc I had the barrel chopped to 18.75", however Casey at TacOrd had to modify the gas system, it was "short stroking".The SOCOM rifles are tuned for the 16.25 barrel.

< 18.5 is restricted
>18.5 in non- restricted
