If this ban goes ahead, would it affect all AR15 "type" rifles, so both the original DI and the piston type? Anything Colt, Daniel Defense, BCM, Stag, etc, or does anyone know for sure really? Recognizing the government goons are interested ultimately in banning or restricting every firearm of every type and don't remotely understand or care about subtle differences, will it be anything that looks vaguely AR-ish? Many of these are already restricted but there are some that aren't. Having been through the 4" barrel/small calibre/converted auto runs before, and lost my Calico M100 and Feather AT22 in the first round of bans I am curious. To be "grandfathered" if that happens one would need an already restricted one or else register a non restricted one, correct? If I already have an AR180, which is already a prohib, would I be covered? Sorry if the question seems dense but I do find the world of AR and AR clones a bit confusing; I have always been a wood and steel milsurp type owner except in 22's.

Maaaannn, when will these threads stop???
No body really knows, but if it is an AR ban, it would be all ARs and there variants. All of them are restricted right now anyway. All the others that "look" like an AR would proably be safe, for now. This is just my speculation.
