I'm having a truly heroic dumb guy moment. I'm interested in buying the SA VZ-58 Short Optic Mount (http://www.zahal.org/products/sa-short-optic-mount?path_parent=219007) and it mentions that drilling and tapping is necessary if you don't already have holes in the receiver. I look at my vz and I see:

They seem to line up with the two holes you see on the side rail over at Zahal:

Am I right in thinking that my vz is already drilled and tapped? Do I need to buy both the Side Rail and the Short Optic Mount, or just the Short Optic Mount?

Yeah you'll need both the rail and then the scope mount, I was gonna do that to my 06 vz 858 but I heard the reciever is thinner than a CSA vz58. :(
So now I'm stuck at buying the scout mounts or the receiver cover one.

you can have the screws on the outside of the cz858 but it isn't the best cos the walls are too thin, I have the screws on the inside but its a pain in the @ss to get at the screws, I grounded down my allen wrench.
