The side rails seem to take both AK and SVD style mounts, is there any difference between the two except for the position of the lever?

I was also considering putting a red dot on a hand guard but they get pretty hot, anyone cooked a EoTech here? :p

Mr. Wolverine. Is there any chance of getting one of these into the US? Also, are the magazines custom made for the CZ only?
These actually are coming from the US. Here is the link for more info;

am i understanding you correctly ? you keep saying these rifles are coming from the US.

Will the older 16 inch restricted military surplus rifles be on sale when these new manufactured american rifles become availible?

No, there will be no sale on any 16 inch guns.

NO, THERE ARE NO SURPLUS GUNS AT ALL, they would be prohibited here!

No, there are no new manufactured AMERICAN rifles. Our new rifles are made in the Czech Republic.

Let’s make it perfectly clear, the SA VZ 58 rifles are completely manufactured for Wolverine Supplies by CSA (Czech Small Arms) who are located in the Czech Republic. Our rifles have nothing to do with Czechpoint-USA and do not come from the USA.

The CSA rifles as manufactured for us have completely NEW RECIEVERS milled from solid, this gives them a thicker receiver side wall which is why we have AK type scope rails factory fitted to all our rifles. All the accessories as supplied by Wolverine Supplies and others that fit the CZ 858 will also fit the SA VZ 58, this includes any Butt Stock adapters etc from NEA and parts from NIET Arms. The only exception will be the hand guards on the Compact model as they are shorter.

This shows the detail on a new SA VZ 58 reciever.

The RCMP have finished their detailed examination of the SA VZ 58 in both 5.56 and 7.62 x 39. They have classed the rifle as a non restricted firearm with the 18.75 inch and the Carbine with the 11.75 inch barrel and Compact with the 7.5 inch barrel as restricted.

With the current Political climate and the rumors on the re classification of firearms in Canada we feel very strongly that people should stop speculating on public forums about the technical and legal details of firearms. Much better to direct your enquiries as a PM to the relevant importer.

If anyone has any further questions on the SA VZ 58 family of firearms I will be happy to answer them. Thank you for your understanding.

I talked to Teapot2...sounds like I am going to go with either a 6x or 8x scope for my VZ58....Can't wait to see how it shoots with one... :D
