SA XD9 extended mag release and site problem?

I ordered some parts from www.pistolgear.com and he's excellent to deal with. However, be VERY careful about ordering parts from pistolgear...he will only ship by UPS. I ended up paying a LOT for parts when I was forced to pay UPS's "brokerage fee".
Talk to the seller...ask him to send the part by regular USPS.

Pistol Gear no longer ships to Canada so you guys suck at helping. 
Has any one else had trouble with their sights? After my first outing and only 250 rounds the white is almost all gone from the right dot on the rear site. I'm not pleased.

Try the XD Forum...I'm pretty sure that I saw another supplier of extended mag releases there.

The white dots are still as good as ever on my XD40, and it's 3 years old.
The mag release is a bear to replace, btw.

Yeah, I was looking at the mag release, don't look like a simple dissasembly. I'll put more round through it before I grab another one.
As for the dot, at first I thought it was just gunk in there so I tried brushing it out with one of my gun cleaning tooth brushes, only made it worse. I'm not impressed. Easy fix though.

I have had my XD9 for about 2 1/2 years, with about 7500 rounds through it...no problem with the sights as of yet. From what I hear, the mag release is pretty easy to take apart...the fun happens when you go to put it all back together.
I e-mailed pistol gear a few weeks ago and they told me they don't ship. I really hope they do as they have some nice stuff for the XD that I want.
I'm starting to think my site issue might be from some solvent getting in there. Has any one tried the fibre optic sights?

I had Smoking Gun FX install a Dawson Precision FO front sight on my XD40. Bloody MAGIC.
In this photo you can see my FO front sight, extended mag release, magwell, mag bumper pads and Don's stainless guide rod:-
(Encountered TWICE from RO's during an IPSC Qualifier last year....)
