I am new and am looking for a songle action revolver. I would like a colt SAA but the prices are a out of my range for the real thing. Does anyone have a suggestion for a clone or even just a really good single action to build my skills up?

Looking for a 22LR for now but maybe even a 45 colt. Or are their combos that use 22lr/mag, or other cheaper common rounds?
I know about the 357 and 44mag plus specials.
A 45 looks good but i think i should build some basic shooting skills first

I was thinking the ruger wrangler/single six, relatively cheap and still available. I saw some uberti’s but i am unsure with them. There are also a ton of weird brands i have never heard of making “clones”. Some can have 5 or six rounds loaded, i guess i will need to research what ones can safely have 6 loaded.

Any advice is greatly appreciated

I'd take a Uberti over the Wrangler or Heritage. Or better yet, a lightly used Ruger single six.

Seeing how we can't hunt, the magnum's ammo is expensive and harder to find. Hence, cylinder has limited use, IMHO.

I'd get a 357 (or two) while you still can for the ammo availability and to get ahead of any transfer bans.

As you said you're new I wouldn't go 45 colt, which is not very economical or easy to find unless you reload. Having said that, I really enjoy my 45 colt SAA clone.
