Howdy...
Here's a question for the cowboy experts. What is the best value .45 SAA out there.
I see guns frm pietta, uberti, ruger that are all in a decent price range.
What are the advantages of each and which one would you choose ?
Thanks

I had a Pietta for a while, nice gun, nice finish, shot well and the trigger was nice. I think they are the cheapest price wise of the ones you mentioned, and probably the best value.

HOWDY. For reproduction a Pietta from marstar has a good value for the dollar . Old gun old problems . Buy a ruger for lots of shooting or heavy loads .

A Pietta and Uberti, Ruger is not a copy of the Colt SAA.

X2.

I haven't any first-hand experience with Pietta but, for the price, you can't really go wrong.

Uberti's reproductions are no less durable than Ruger models (with this, I do have first-hand experience). They're priced roughly half way between a Pietta and a genuine Colt.

"...Ruger is not a copy of the Colt SAA..." The Vaquero is a copy of the SAA with modern internal parts. The Blackhawk is not.

"The Vaquero is a copy of the SAA with modern internal parts."

The new Vaquero is a copy of the Colt, size wise, but that's about it. the old Vaquero is simply a Ruger Blackhawk without adjustable sights, which is slightly larger then the Colt. They are both different internally, and no parts interchange between the Rugers and the Colts. - dan

No, it's not. A Vaquero is a Blackhawk with SAA-style sights. The frame larger, the function is COMPLETELY different...I got rid of my Vaquero because it wasn't an SAA copy.
