SAA revolvers

Pietta are supposedly not built as well or to the same standard. The two I have look good and I have had no issues with. I have only had them since last summer.

I have had both.

They were all good, quite accurate (Pietta's had the edge), and reliable.

I found the Uberti's were timed perfectly, the Pietta's needed some fiddling to prevent skipping past lock.

Pietta's a bit cheaper.

Get one of each, then decide which you prefer.

I've owned a pair of Uberti Cattleman revolvers for about three years now. I use them for cowboy shooting and have easily put a few thousand rounds through them without a single hiccup.

They were the best balance between quality and cost that I could afford at the time and I have not seen the need to change.

When I first got them, I took them to a trusted "smith" who took them apart to check for rough spots. He found none.

I had Wolfe springs installed and have thoroughly enjoyed them ever since.

To personalize them, I had the backstraps hand engraved by Jim Downing and refinished the walnut grips. It's very easy to tell which six shooters are mine.

Regards.

I bought my Ubertti Birdshead 1873 from Milarms in Edmonton and was very happy with it. The only thing to watch is to keep an eye on all the screws, they may need to be tighten occasionally after lots of shooting. I have a buddy who shoots a 1875 new army with the same problem. Keep your powder dry!!! gregs5190
