I've always wanted a 12 gauge slug gun for deer but with the price of factory sabot slugs I just can't seem to want to pull the trigger, mostly over the principal of it. $5-$6/shot is absurd.
That being said, I am geared up for 12 gauge reloading and have a roll crimper and a ####load of .458 cal bullets for my 45-70. Mostly Barnes TSX 300 grain and some Sierra 300 grain pro hunter.
Anyone ever come across any sabots that would fit 458 cal bullets and load data?
I have a huge pile of AA hulls but wouldn't mind if I had to buy some Fiocchi or whatever either. Still cheaper than buying factory.
I've found 50 cal sabots at Bilozir but there's gotta be other places that have something.
