Just got this gun as a gift. Thinking of putting a zeiss conquest 3.5x10 44 mm scope on it. Any thoughts

YOu might want to consider a little more magnification with the 7mmstw. The caliber is certainly good for some long range shooting...just a thought but have a look at the 4.5-14x50 which also comes with the z-1000 reticle.
 
i have a refield widefield 3-9 power on my stw ..... it works very well for me .


my feeling is , if i need more scope to shoot something , the animal is so far away it will not notice me sneaking up on it to get closer to get a better shot .

you also have to pack the weight of a larger scope ....... it might not seem to bad after 20 minutes ... after several hours a couple extra ounces of weight seem to multply by at least 100 .
