Sad and frustrated.

Bought my wife her first rifle today Brno km22. Lovely little rifle. Cleaned it with her at the range and got her all set up. Misfire. Eject the round, after all it is Remington ammo. Misfire, again. And again. Light strikes with every brand of ammo I had with me. Oh well, what fun she had, me swearing and tinkering and her just sitting around disappointed and bored. Not a great day. But she loves the little bastard (me, and her new rifle) and I get to deal with the warranty claim.

I'd try some other ammo before going the claim route..what did you use out of interest?

As Silverfox said. One brand of ammo is not enough to declare a 22 defective. Buy a box of premium to try, then work down the cost scale until you find the cheapest that reliably works.

I wasn't clear, we started with the Remington, then cci, then elley. It's the gun, not the ammo.

Did you take the bolt apart? Maybe some crud in there.

Do your self a favour and throw it straight in the dumpster. I had one with same problem. Absolute junk!

There have been a few different companies out of Czechoslovakia that used the CZ or BRNO name but have nothing to do with those companies.... CZ2000 pistol for example, and these BRNO rifles.

Sorry to hear about problems with your rifle.

Yup, PPK has nothing to do with Zbrojovka Brno except that they bought rights to manufacture some older Brno designs after Zbrojovka Brno declared bankruptcy about 12 years ago. PPK has also never had any relation to CZUB (CZ rifles and handguns).
