I went to the gun show today and ran across a guy with a ParaOrdnance m1911 45 ACP high capacity magazine setup. Bought it three years ago he said, and it was in impeccable condition. At Academy sports a brand new one of these is $628 USD which is still a phenomenal price. This guy was asking $450.00 for his and I know I could have talked him down to $400.00.

Problem: Payday is this coming Friday....

I am sad.....Talk about a sweet deal on a sweet pistol.

credit card? line of credit? sniffle and cry? beg? Very sweet deal, so sweet I think I'm getting a cavity. ;) The same gun would run you 800 plus here in Canuckistan. Sorry but I gotta :slap:..................:p

I'd say it was your lucky day. Fate has it that you were not meant to have that pistol. I bet it would have caused you trouble to no end. Today is your lucky day.

Sad story indeed.

Just be glad I wasn't there in North Texas because you'd cry harder when I would have paid and walked away with it :p :p

Kidding..

Definate awesome price. Save up and bring lots of cash next time...don't buy small items like mags and slings until you know you won't be dumping most of your fun money on ticket deal items like a Para.

I feel for you. But I have to ask.... why go to a gun show with empty pockets? Its just an exercise in depressing yourself otherwise. Its' like going to a good restaurant and not eating.... or dating a girl who's wearing a well-built chastity belt. Whats the point?

On the other hand, I guess I've done that. I went to a gun show in Dallas and was amazed at the amount of stuff there that I'd not be able to bring back to Canada with me. My brain was going crazy trying to dream up loopholes or risky import schemes.

We should both remember the boy scout motto: Be Prepared
