Sad day for Nikon Scopes...

I ordered a Nikon scope from the LIQUIDATION listing on your website. That was around 1 PM yesterday, just after lunch. It was available at my local PO box at 9 AM, this morning. Thats the next day from Lloydminster AB, via Saskatoon, then Regina, then back up north to Strasbourg. Unbelievable good service and fast Canada Post shipping, using the standard Xpresspost.

I just got home from the Post Office at lunchtime today with the scope. Thats less than 24 hours from Web checkout, to looking at the reticle out the window of my living room.

All I can say is thank you, and job well done.

Thanks for the purchase! I'm sure you will love the scope. Glad to hear CP came through, its not alwatys they do. ;)

There have been a lot of customers asking when we might reduce prices on these. We have no intention of doing anything in the short term as demand has been extremely strong. The last of the monarchs and prostaffs that we had here on liquidation are going extreemely quickly , especially with the black Friday (no GST and free shipping) sale on. Some models that we had 20+ before the weekend are now now down to either a couple or sold out completely:

Its the circles in the reticle that has always stopped me from buying a nikon, I wonder how many others feel the same?

Me. I have a couple and will be swapping them out. Tried to get used to them but just can't seem to.

To be fair one of them is the Monarch 5-25 and I was wanting to swap it out for something with more magnification as well, although the circles do tick me off.

I think that it’s truly unfortunate that Nikon is abandoning this segment of the optics market. It’s my opinion that they make a very good product at a very reasonable price. It would be nice to hear directly from their rep Travis, who might be able to shed some light, and put any fears about ongoing support to rest.
Sorry for the derail...

I must be the odd guy out here. Though I have shot with Nikon camera gear since forever, I have continually been underwhelmed and disappointed with their optics line. Ho-hum glass, weird reticles, average pricing and some pretty bad reviews. Just never saw the excitement others saw in them.

That said, glad they have done well for Prophet River and for those that own and like them. Sad to see any manufacturer stop producing products for the shooting sport.
