Saddle Up - Liberals are after your MBRs

I'm broke, I've got an 18 month old baby and my wife is getting laid off on Friday.

After hearing about that f**king Dion fascist bastard I just pulled out my wallet and joined the CPC and the CSSA. I've never joined any group before because I don't like other people's rules and I'm a cheap bastard; but enough is enough. I cannot imagine any worse thing that could happen to my beloved country than to let it slip any closer to a Lieberal police state.

And next week, when I go moose hunting, it's with my goddamn M14 too.

I'll worry about the Visa bill later, at least I can sleep with myself tonight.

This will never end, PERIOD.

Let's face it, the first thing the Libs will do when (and not if) they eventually get back in is to put in "gun control" ..... UNLESS we manage to make the issue so ridiculously hopeless as a public safety measure (and it is) that it ends up convincing EVERY party that it's not worth even trying, BTDT, let's look for something else sort of thing.

This will never end till full CPC majority.
Three political formations will join togheter to ban everything.
Vote, donate your money and time, TO WIN !:)

so.... when we will see mr bernardo or another representative of canada's firearms owners get on t.v and run an add...... hell, I'll go in front of the camera....... I got the brass to tell em how it is, and the "eloquence" to put it to the average canadian in words they can not misunderstand.

Untill these organizations get into the public fray..... on television.... thier efforts to represent and defend our past time are inevitabley futile..... and i mean no offense to those who have done so much for us already. The courts are not where we are going to make headway, we need to break new ground, come out of the closet, and be a loud strong voice in this country, and national television is the only way to do it. You can say pretty much what you want if you have the $$$$ to buy the time. Let's get it done already..... I'll personally put up 500.00 towards the coffer to get this happening.

Typical ****ing liberals. The only two things they know how to do is to tax things and ban things.

I'm going to help campaign for CPC and send them a big donation!!

Not sure about campaign signs being on CFHA land, but if I saw a liberal banner on my grass i would take it down in a heartbeat regardless of consequences, i do too live in a PMQ.

I live in a PMQ on base, and you can't put any thing up to support anyone... kinda lame.

Support the troops signs and the Canadian flag is good to go though:D

I believe its time to ask the NRA to show us how it's done. The NRA has lots of experience voicing their positions to the masses.......

Its simple they are PRO-ACTIVE. With campaign ads on TV etc, where as for the most part the pro-gun groups in Canada are more "re-active" dealing with what happens as it comes.

and we need to change out tactics now...... as we should have done years ago.
We, as gun owners are one of the highest scrutinized citizens of this country. We are being slandered by the liberal government, we are being descriminated against both politically and socially and THIS HAS TO STOP.
The only legal means of getting in the general publics mind is to get into the mass media. Until i see our Top Pro gun lobby groups and representatives organizing such tactics..... my donations and support will not be forthcoming.... I'm tired of paying for bandaids and trauma pads when we should be paying for sutures and staples :D

I agree, the pro-firearm groups need to be proactive and savy. Like showing what happened in Britain with their crime rates after banning firearms.

Educate the public on the benefits of firearms. The argument has always been that there is no place for battle/assault type rifles, even from conservative gun owners. Be active with Service condition matches, shoot your black rifle in an organized and sanctioned match. Invite the public, the media, the politicians and hope for the best. Like they say, "it's easy to formulate an opinion when one does not know the facts". Let us let them make that opinion after the the exposure and education. We need the positive side of having an educated and open public and not an ignorant one.

the events you mention help many folks keep in touch with thier family's military roots.... and service rifle type events also give oportunity for civillian types to mingle and interct with law enforcement and military personel on a positive level.

and REGISTRATION DOES NOT LEAD TO CONFISCATION?- now with everything registered, any moron can weed out where the "assault" weapons are, once they define what one is- they'll go after the "black" stuff first, and then the 305's - and the thuggies will still have their guns, - the only thing that will survive is the unregistered gun that got "forgotten about" in a chest somewhere

didnt that black rifle sink to the bottom of that lake when you flipped the boat on the way to the range?

What about an open, public invitation to your local candidates to come to your local firing range for some shooting exercises? When they arrive they could be shown all of the licensing requirements, safety and operating procedures that responsible firearms owners follow in order to keep the sport safe for everyone. Invite the press too; that way the candidates will be more likely to show up, plus the extra coverage will show the public how it is a safe fun sport. It might wake them up to the realization that we are responsible citizens who just happen to own guns and there is a definite difference between us and the gangbangers who give all gun owners a bad name by their reckless irresponsible actions.
I am new to the sport myself and checked out a couple of shooting ranges before I joined one. I must have talked to a dozen people and not one was rude, condescending or even used bad language. Everyone politely answered all of my newbie questions thoroughly and all put an emphasis on safety. One fine man invited me as a guest to come to the local range with my brand new M 14s. He came fully prepared for the afternoon. At the range he explained all of the operating and safety procedures to me, introduced me to the range officer, went over my M 14s with me (I had read a lot about it here on Gunnutz, and field stripped it myself, but had never fired a gun before) and test fired it as well to sight it in- it was already within 3 inches @100 yards. We then spent a couple of hours shooting targets and it was fun! :dancingbanana: Afterwards he showed me how he properly cleaned his M 14s and then walked me through the steps as I cleaned mine. (I came away thinking that this is not a sport for the non-dedicated as it requires patience, timing, fitness and discipline. It is part art, science and craft, and it is not cheap either.) I was so impressed by his knowledge, professionalism and generosity that I joined the range the next week and tomorrow I go for my official orientation course. :D
I am convinced that the greatest assets to fight these peddlers of ignorance and fear are our own members. Our semi-autos are no more of a threat than a traditional "Hunting" rifle such as the Remington model 7400 chambered in .308 Winchester, 30-06, etc.
It is malice of forethought, acted upon, that makes any object (gun, knife, hammer,a piece of rope, etc.) a deadly weapon, not the object itself. It's about time these anti-gun people understood that. So it doesn't matter if you're using a bolt, pump,or semi-auto action gun- you still have to pull the trigger to send a bullet on it's way to its target. It is the shooter's responsibility to ensure the target is safe and legal to shoot; anyone who does not, not only gives all of us a bad reputation, but should not have a gun.
I don't know how to put it better, maybe someone else could.
Respectfully submitted.

Major commander well done. It struck me as odd that Mr Dion said that these military assault rifles need to be taken off the streets. as if i got my AR slung over my shoulder at the bus stop. All us guys who have these types of rifles they are anything but on the streets. All have paperwork coming out their ass and the things are under so much lock and key. And i am a bit perturbed that he says there's no legit reason to own these rifles. well if the law would permit me i'd hunt deer with my ar. The fact that it is light accureate ergonomic and reliable make it a great military rifle. At the same time all those features make it an escellent hunting rifle. I mean a large percentage of turnbolt hunting rifles are late 19th and early 20th century military technology. I know lots of non gun people too and they just eat up all the rhetoric the politicians are going on about and it scares me.

What kind of Canada do the Liberals envision? It seems it will be a severe totalitarian state where citizens are simply drones to be controlled for the benefit of the Liberal gang bosses and their cronies. I thought people were to enjoy their lives and pursue happiness not be subjected to harsh laws that have the effect of stripping us of our human rights and freedoms in the pursuit of perfect political behaviour.
The Liberals want to crush freedom and choice in our lives. I believe that the Liberal Party is collectively mentally ill.
