Has anyone had any experience with Sadlac Indusries M14 parts?
I was lookin around trying to find a good spring guide and came across these guys. They have a National Match solid piece, heat treated, tool steel unit for about $40us. I was also lookin at thier NM spec piston for about the same price.
I'm a bit of a newbie when it comes to M14's and was wondering If these GI spec upgrades would be worthwhile or not, and if they will just pop right in to my Nork?
Marstar has a stainless spring guide for $30 +frt but are sold out at the moment. It's lookin like these guys may be a better option.:sniper:
Any advice?

Sadlak Industries parts are good to go. I've been to their shop several times and spoken with Mike and Dee at length on the M14 and their products. The coated gas pistons are a nice to have but not necessary. The NM spring guides do smooth up the action. It's not announced yet but they now have an extended magazine latch in production. I've tested a prototype and love it.

Sadlak parts = drool

go45acp,

Sadlak's NM oprod spring guide is US sized in case, ie you should use a US sized spring(eg USGI) as the Norinco spring is smaller in diameter. Marstar's spring guide is also slightly thinner for this purpose.

US pistons do not go in Chinese gas cyls. Chinese gas cyls and pistons are larger in diameter than US counterparts. Apparently on an old, worn US gas cyl, a Chinese piston may work and tighten it up.....I have not test fitted any.

Some interesting info. I do have some Wolff springs coming so I'll wait and see about the spring guide. I was thinking that might be a good step toward accurizing my Nork.
I've done the basic shimming and indexing with the Wet Coast M14 support group last week end. WOW! A great time and I'm still trying to absorb all the things I learned.
I'm lookin forward to chuckin some lead, bone stock with it this weekend so I can track my progress as I go with this project.
Thanks Guys
Any one else have some input.

Good on ya,

Thomas/45acpking got me all my M14 #### parts. My Norc hasn't got any chinese left except the receiver.:dancingbanana::D

Enjoy the rifle. I have my Sage M39 stock arriving on Saturday afternoon - Oh the wait:eek:! My USMC DMR is almost complete.

The McMillan M2A stock is arriving in Sept - big green USMC shootin machine stock - it'll go on the M1A I just picked up as well. This will definitely be the extent of my M14 journey - 2 USMC DMR's is enough for me!:dancingbanana::dancingbanana::dancingbanana:

Well looks like I went big instead of going home!

Cheers, Carl

got sadlak!

I purchased a sadlak nm spring guide and put it inside a wolf spring. Really like it. Very smooth, no pinching, binding or lateral movement of the spring. Worth the money. Machined from one solid piece of tool steel.
Highly support your thought to purchase, build it once, build it right, $10.00 more than your alternative but worth the difference.

I've had good results dealing with Sadlak. They'll ship to Canada and are good people to deal with over the phone.

Now this is the conversation I was lookin for.
I kinda thought this M305 would be a snowball at the top of the hill. My slow build is starting to speed up. OOPS! "T" is a great guy, I'm lookin forward to some range time with him if possable, sure it will be.
Gonna do some more homework but will probably order at least the spring guide. CGN Rulz.

I'll look forward to seeing some pics. I'm also feeding an SKS addiction so I'll have to be carefull of the old bank account. I'm lookin at stocks, optics, and upgrades for the M14. Wondering if the income can keep up with it! So much cool stuff, so little money!!! :runaway: I'll have to prioritize I guess.:sniper:

FYI, Sadlak Industries is shipping its first batch of M14 extended magazine latch this week. I have no financial interest in the sale of this item. I have tested one of the prototypes on my M1A and I like it. I ordered two of the production extended magazine latches. Mrs. Different will get one on her M1A. :)
