Hey all,
As a general fan of all 1911’s and curious about one for a future build, is there many of these out there? If so how is quality, fit and feel, and a general value/going for price? First found out about these from that movie “WANTED” and have had a interest in them since then. Would love to hear and see some pictures.

If there’s already a thread like this I’m sorry but I didn’t see it.
I will attempt to post a picture just for clarity.

I think I have seen 1 in the past 10 years and they have been out of production for a few decades, so no they are not common. Neat guns and apparently quite good. They are collectors these days so I probably would not use one for a build assuming you could even find one.

I was familiar that they been out of production but not with the numbers made or how rare. Kinda was hoping to come across even a receiver. Would love to do a .38super race gun.

Yes they have nice frame. I would snap up a 6" model if it came up. You would likely have more luck in the US on Gunbroker.

A buddy of mine had one, I think (I remember the frame's finger spur), and complained about parts compatibility.

They were very pretty but the quality was only slightly better than AMT. As a collectable, go for it. As a shooter, you have better options available.
