Safariland vs Ross vs Galco

I am in the market for a lined leather paddle holster. Unfortunately it will have to be an online purchase.

Right now I am trying to decide between a Safariland, Ross, or Galco. The safariland has level 1 retention the others are open top.

Any experience you guys could share as far as retention, quality, etc would be appreciated

I have Galco (open top) and Bianchi (thumb break) - both are quality holsters.
Galco has somewhat 'abrasive' surface inside while Bianchi is smooth on the inside.
What gun is it for?
