Safe kiss? Gun socks for the gun safe/cabinet?

My guns knew what they were getting into when I bought them. No safe kisses here, just character marks. As long as there is no rust, that's my main concern.

I use gun socks on anything that I care about. A few of my pieces have enough wear that another kiss or two wont hurt.

I use the Prophet River socks - they help a great independent store, and are an easy way to top up to the free shipping/no tax minimums they put on their sales! :D

I use gun socks on a lot of my rifles not only to protect them but also to camouflage the number of rifles in the actual safe..the odd time the wife is in the basement while my safe is open..looking at it its just a blur of black socks..can't really tell how many rifles are in there..best investment I've ever made!

There are socks and sacks. I prefer the stretchy kind. Yes, I find the socks go over every gun I've tried. Some are pretty snug, but that is how they work.

FWIW, I have found handguns fit into actual tube socks.

I'm surprised to see this thread again. I thought it was buried deep enough that it would be gone forever, like Jimmy Hoffa.

Does the sock go over the scope also?
And if so does the scope lens pick up a film, or need an extra cleaning?

Just asking, thanks...

There are different sizes of socks, but not all of them have room for a scope. Those that do are often made for traditional sporter rifles with typical hunting scopes with one inch tubes and no large objective bells. I suppose if buying online it may be hard to figure out if a certain sock will fit a rifle.
