Safe to assume (Enfield T)

I don't usually follow milsurp stuff but have a question. Is it still safe to assume a Complete Enfield T in good shape is worth $2000 any day of the week? Long story short I may be able to trade about $2000 worth of work for one. I know the gun and its real. Has transit case for gun and case for scope. Scope has been stored in the case for years. Thanks.
 
Its actually kinda funny how things come around... The old guy that had the gun would not sell it to me as his son wanted it. I bought a bunch of guns from the old guy before he passed (He knew it was coming) Now a few years later the son did something that needs $2k worth of work to fix. I brought up that I would trade for his dads old T and he seemed pretty interested vs spending the $2k

The other crazy part is I tried to buy the tool from his dad that caused all the damage. If his dad had of sold me it he would probly not be in this mess.
 
Hereabouts, you could get $6,000-9,000 bucks Canadian depending on everything being matching and kosher. If it's a Long Branch, for sure you're looking at the upper end of the scale.

That'd be a heck of a deal at $2000. Go for it.
