Hello all,

I just received the second of two SKS rifles I recently ordered. The first was a 1954 Izshevsk, and the second is a 1952 Tula. I am pleased with both rifles, but I have just discovered a small problem with the trigger mechanism of the Tula. It's missing a Safety Catch Spring. In other words, there is no spring tension on the saftey lever. I'm assuming the ommision is not a difference in trigger mechanisms between the 1952s the the 1954s, but just a failure to replace the part during reassembly of the safety. I would appreciate some input.

Thanks
Mike

I have a Tula 1952 excellent, non-refurb and does not have a spring for the safety.

I guess mine is any early 52, therefore it doesn't come with a spring. Too bad I like the spring tension on the safety. I wonder if it can be retrofitted for the spring?
