Im not sure if this is the correct location for this post but here is my question.

For those of you who wear glasses, what type of safety glasses do you use at the range that allows to you wear your prescription glasses and safety glasses at the same time? Of do you guys just wear contacts? I only wear glasses on a part time basis.

Most people who wear glasses just wear their normal glasses. Those of us who dont wear safety glasses or sometimes just good old sunglasses. Thats all you need

I'm 49 yrs old. @ age 40 I had my eyes zapped (laser surgery). In the last couple of yrs,my eyesight has gotten a bit worse. Still legally within limits to drive without glasses, though I'm not comfortable doing so.

So last year, I ordered up a pair of Puma wrap-arounds with auto-tint lenses. In my humble opinion the best of both worlds, indoors or out. A bit pricey at around $350, but I'm sure you could get a pair of shooting glasses for much cheaper if you select a lower-end frame.

Look at the UVEX line of safety glasses. They have OTG's and I like their Genesis line where you can mount your lenses behind them. Inexpensive, flexible system. Your lenses are mounted into a wire frame that mounts between the lens and the main frame.
Acklands-Grainger and other safety supply stores will have them.

I have a pair of Wrap around style Oakleys with prescription lenses that I just love. I don't like the prescription inserts behind the standard glasses I find them to be heavy and awkward.

I had the lenses made for the Oakleys. The Optician just popped the Original lenses out, and the prescription lenses in. I use them for Cycling and shooting. They work like a charm. They are Transitions lenses so I can use them Indoors and out.
