Safety Selector Assembly

Hi Guys,

I purchased a Spikes Tactical "Star Ambi-Safety".

The two halves of the assembly do not fit together with modest pressure between the thumb and forefinger.

Is this normal? Is a small hammer or mallet normally used to tap the two parts together?

I don't want to damage anything. In order to have the set screw lock the shaft properly, the two halves must be tight together.

Is there a burr on the right side lever arm that's preventing it form closing all the way?

I guess I am not the only one with questions on the RRA Ambi Safety.
