SAFN 1949 stripper clips.

What kind of stripper clips does an FN49 in 30-06 take? Want to find out what I can and get whatever I am able.

8mm Mauser clips for the Egyptian. Probably the rest of the too.

Swedish Mauser clips work for the .30-06 versions of the rifles.

Swede mauser clips as he said because they are the same as mauser 1893/1895 clips which will also work ( 96s may be a little looser on the case heads since 6.5X55 is a tad bigger than the .30-06 family of casings.) And also springfield 1903/enfield 1917 clips.

8mm mauser stripper clips work very well, you just have to grind the upper and lower nub off and keep the middle one there.

I use 7.62 NATO clips in my .30-06 FN Model 49.

Any "one nub" stripper clip will work.

Examples that will fit the bill:
30-06 Five Rounders
Nato 7.62 Five Rounders
Swede 6.6x55 Five Rounders

The nubs are on 5x Round stripper clips for a few reasons - one is for positive identification. As previously stated an 8x57 stripper will have 3x nubs and there are also 2x nub strippers out there also.
