Sage EBR stock for canadians?

This is what i got from the distrubutor:

"I have finally received my shipment of M14 EBR stocks. I have replaced the non-collapsing stock rails with eight position collapsible rails. In all not too bad.
I also received a limited supply of forward vertical grips and 870 shotgun stocks in both the steel two position and aluminum six position.

The retail for the EBR is $*** and the 970 stocks are $***.

The Garand and Mini stocks are currently on back order. I anticipate getting the stripper clip sight mount inserts within a week as well as the base rail for after-market grips.

Now for the where to get them part. As wholesale, I have made an agreement with Sage for distribution only. As you have all been waiting patiently for these stocks, I want to make sure you get first dibs for these stocks.

Below is a list of stores I have already set up for resale across Canada (I will be adding more as I get more product in). Please let me know where the best geographical location is for you.
I will forward your contact info and a stock to the appropriate location with your name on the box.

If you have a local dealer you like to buy through please forward the contact info to me. ($5000 minimum order and License info required).

Thank you all for your patience and happy shooting,

Well I've ordered one and hope those rails will be as good as the original Navy SEAL chop mod EBR I've played with. Great piece of kit. Hope Fabsport get's mine out soon :dancingbanana:

Review to follow once it arrives...

8 positions huh?

I have the old vintage model (6 positions) and from the looks of it adding two more slots seem tough. The slots are quite long and 6 already seem cramped. Are the tubes longer perhaps?

I wonder how these will look.

Any one seen these Canadian versions?

I am anxious to see what the final design. If I can run with it the 500 meter run down or hike with it for several kilometers during the deer hunt, I might seriously consider picking one up. Although cool looking, the Sage or the the Troy are just too cumbersome and heavy. I hope you design is allot more user friendly than those two. Otherwise the Vltor or the original stock configuration is still the best out there IMHO.

Been there.......Done that........the 500 meter rundown with a Mark14/Mod 0 EBR Clone is not fun.............IMHO, the Sage EBR chassis is great if you want a Precision type DMR rifle............I found it too heavy and awkward for service rifle matches...........After going through all the latest fads, my favorite M14 was the 18.75" Shorty mounted in a USGI stock with the rear sight drilled out ghost ring style that I built..........

But I would very much like to see what Laz has up his sleeve........;)

In my case, I run two vastly different M4 setups:

1) Troy MCS shorty with optics
2) Full-length in a standard GI glass stock, ARMS mount and removable QD optics with GI sights.

The one I use depends if I'm benchrest shooting or if I have to carry the gun at all.

Del Selins in Vernon BC has these stocks for sale......$895..........They have an ad in the "tactical equipment" EE.....first page halfway down.......check it out!!!

Fabsport is also 895$. But I must add the provincial tax...

Claven, these are improved M4! :p

Seriously, why do you use the 18.5" in your precision rig and the 22" in your "patrol" rifle?
I'm planing to do the opposite but I'm interested in your POV.

Can anyone actually verify any of this? Anyone have a contact at Fabsports? When I spoke with someone over the phone yesterday there was no mention of these stocks needing to be "canadianized". Just curious.
Cheers,
f

The ones being imported into kelowna were like this. I held the non-adjustable stock with my own eyes.

Del Selin out of Vernon has a bunch of Sage EBR stocks. Cheaper than fab.

Hes a site sponsor! Check parts and bits.

Two reasons:

1) The Troy system has a weird front band arrangement that likes shorter barrels so there isn't a lot of weight at the end of the bbl and there's some LCF to it.

2) I use the GI glass version for shooting service rifle from time to time and I don't think they allow you to use a chassis in standard rifle ;)
