Before anyone gets upset my garand is a berda stripped receiver so its not original at all. I was looking at maybe getting a sage stock for my garand and was wondering if anyone knows where I could find one in Canada? I have found a few down in the states but would rather get it in Canada. I have an sage ebr strock on my m1a which I love the look and feel.

It is a lot of fun to excite the purists with a SAGE on a Garand. It shoots well, and is the *best* way to forward-mount optics.

I got mine through a private sale so I'm not sure where you could find one now. I found the trigger shoe made more difference on the M305 than it did here, but it did improve the trigger feel here too.

(Mine is a Springfield 1955-ish production...but I bought it in an aftermarket stock, so I didn't feel too bad upgrading to the SAGE)

Please post pics on this thread. I'm no purist, and I sold my Garand years ago, so I'm not unduly attached to the so-called venerable Garand. I'm looking forward to seeing some modern heresy!

That must weight around 11 pounds before adding optic, sling, etc...

Have you ever handled an m1a or m1 garand? sage stocks are aluminum and don't weight that much more. Its nothing compared to all the steel parts on these rifles. And frankly the wood stock on a garand is fairly heavy also much more than a wood stock on an m1a.
