I was going to wait until after the weekend to post these pictures along with a range report but I have to go to Calgary to help my daughter and grandson move. Here's some pics but the range report will be along soon.

Desert Sage w/Ironstone buttstock

And the twins

As for the Ironstone, I have seen them on AR 10s and decided WTH why not try it on a Sage. Turned out better than I thought. While it does add quite a bit of weight it is certainly going to be solid on the bench which is what I had in mind when I got the idea. A CQB it ain't.

Also, if I want I can always throw my Vlotr on it and put the Ironstone on an AR.

Anyway it looks to be a week or so for the range report and some other pics.

Cheers.....Turf

Thanks guys for the compliments. Yes I do have a daughter who is a gorgeous single mom. 8) My grandson is of course growing up with the proper appreciation of firearms. :D

I don't know about the will thing Cariboo, I was thinking of taking at least something to my grave.

Next week I'll get some range time and give a report w/pics

Cheers

So you're taking your daughter to the range and taking pics of her? I just want to make sure I'm getting all this.

I have to go to Calgary in the morning to help her move back to BC but seeing as she'll be living about 150 kms from my range I doubt she'll be there next week. Might be able to get her to a shoot in early October and strike a pose with one of the Sages (ala Miss Ashley) We'll see.

I love you man!

Damn, that rut must be getting close. Now you're happy that you might get a picture in October??

My daughter is still too young, but hopefully leftent's daughter will carry you through till I can arrange to have you neutered!

If not, I'll just have you come neuter the competition (read teenage boys feeding her god knows what at a party as we speak) to prove your worthiness!

Movin in the rain is a #####, specially when you are the only guy. Oh Well! Anyway I bribed her. I help her move and when she comes for Thanksgiving she goes to my shoot. She said no problem. I said you gotta wear cammies and turkey feathers. She said )*(&^( the turkey feathers, just gimmie the cammies and a Sage. (what a trooper) :)

So, I will have a range report by the end of the week WITHOUT pics of my daughter. Those pics will come after Thanksgiving :p

I was goin to say she was in Inuvik (holy crap BUM lives there) however, she has made a new home for herself in SE BC about 115 kms from me. I live somewhere south of Cranbrook so you are going to have to shoot some azimuths after you find out where I live to locate her. (Just a Dad being protective, no offense intended).

Cheers......

On the Sage EBR Model M14 ALCS/CV you can use any buttstock with an M4/M16 style receiver extension tube. My Vlotr fits as do the other M4 stocks I have.

Anyways, back to the guns. Turf you did an excellent job. In fact you have the exact look I'm going for in an M14. I'm just stuck on what color scheme to go with.

I look forward to the range report.
