Saged Again

Thanks Sam, I like both the desert tan and the grey. Different colours are available for an extra charge and I am waiting to hear what those colors are. I'll get back to you. Course with all of the excellent products on the market you can always do it yourself if you are so inclined.

Anyways, back to the guns. Turf you did an excellent job. In fact you have the exact look I'm going for in an M14. I'm just stuck on what color scheme to go with.

I look forward to the range report.

Both rifles are Norincos and both have R33 op-rod spring guides and one has an extended bolt release. Aside from the shim that comes with the Sage I used 2 extra shims from Jerry on each. Gotta a good tight gas lock.

The FH on the Grey is a Vortex with a globe front sight convervion kit from Brownells. Since I am getting to be an old fart the front globe helps me to focus the top of the blade and the bull together when using irons. That's also the reason I am fond of glass now. man I hate gettin old :(

Glad you like the rigs Otokiak, they truly are a work of art even before you mount the rifle. The wallet stings but only for a little while.

Cheers...Turf

The finish is a moly resin but he didn't say who the mfg. was, only that just about any color you want is available. (except for shocking pink :) ). It's expensive at $50.00 US a quart plus labour. The finish on mine cost 50 bucks if that gives you an idea.

Hope this helps......Turf

GG&FB had a Sage for sale recently. Don't know of anyone else. :( As for the "Ironstone", almost any gunshop that specializes in target rifles can get them in Canada.
