Sake a7 magazine not retaining rounds

As the title says my buddy's magazine for his a7 in 25-06 won't retain rounds properly. Seems they pop out of the mag. I haven't looked at it but I assume feed lips being the issue. Anyone have this problem ? Any advice on a decent price for a mag or 2?

I haven't had this issue with my A7 mag but I have read how others have. Consensus from those having this problem is it is the feed lips and to slide rounds in from the front instead of popping them in from the top once you've taken a pliers and adjust the feed lips first.

This X2, mine in 270 did the same a few years ago, be gentle and patient when squeezing, when you reload as stated, slide from the front, I think the occasional top load if needed would not hurt.

I had this issue, it was from top loading when the magazine was not in the action. Seemed to be okay when the mag was topped up while inside the rifle

Stoeger Canada was replacing defective magazines for A7 owners, but that was years ago. The rifle is now discontinued
