Sako 75 Stainless barrels blowing up?

That isn't a video "the" rifle blowing up, it is a video of a barrel obstruction in "a" rifle... a Browning I think... nothing to do with the few Sako blow ups.

Send it to me and I'll carry it all season. I'll even take trophy pics with it for you....;)

No Send it to ME...lol x2 with trophy pics with your rifle.....sorry couldnt resist. Rifle season opens tuesday here in some zones.

As mentioneed, call Stoeger. They will return your call or send Beretta USA an email off their website about your concerns. I asked a few questions previously about barrels off a m75 rifle to thread onto m85 rifles (IV action caliber onto a M-action size)....and BTW, yes they will...just make sure a gunsmith verifies headspace.

How is issuing a recall keeping something under wraps?

They didnt exactly follow the Ruger style of recall, and at the time as it was unfolding Sakos rep took a major hit on some gun boards. Thier tactic of contacting owners/dealers, rather than a media campain left alot of people feeling they were trying thier damnedest to sweep it under the rug and keep it as quiet as possible. On the Accurate forums there was alot of chatter in particular from what I recall, with people saying it was owners who were at fault rather than believe Sako could make such a screw up. While some may applaud Sakos handling of it now, it seemed damned hokey they. IIRC the primary issue was sulphur inclusions in the metal.
