Well,
After looking for a used Sako in 9.3x62 for a few years now, (Any I did see were the price of new ones) I made a call to my local shop to see what was available new.
There was a few options in stock, but one that caught my attention is a Stainless Synthetic model, listed as a MT Package??? I have went ahead and ordered it, because it has my curiosity up.
It lists it with silver plate, gun bag and sling.
I cannot find any additional information about this package anywhere, I have never heard of it until now.

It'll be here soon, and I guess I will find out what it's all about.

If anyone has any info about this package, I'd love to hear about it.
I'd also like to hear any 9.3x62 loads, hunting stories, etc.
I have some Matrix 250gr bullets, and 250gr Barnes TSX. I have lots of Varget, so I'll likely try to find a load using it.

The package that you are getting could be a shot-show special or something to that effect. Or, it could be a factory package with that rifle. The 9.3 x 62 is a great round to shoot. I've shot a 6 point buck with mine and seen the animal go down with one well placed shot. The hole was not to severe and that surprised me. To get started you may consider a factory load and don't be reluctant to shoot a bullet in the 285 or 286 grain weight. If you develop a real interest in the round you could reload and that's where your 250 grain bullets could be used. This would take a bit of time to get your investment back - and most reload to get the best accuracy they can out of a rifle. And some want to explore the "velocity envelope". There are some good posts on CGN regarding the 9.3 x 62 and I would encourage you to do a search and read a bit more. I enjoy the round and it's abilities and I expect that you will too...

MT should be Muzzle Threaded. You can screw on a silencer

Well I received the rifle today, and yes you are correct. Threaded Muzzle.
Not really a feature I was looking for but it's all good. Its a 20" barrel version, nice carry rifle.
It does have a Sako sling in the box, but no bag as it states. I will follow up with my dealer to see if there is supposed to be one. The box say's package, Silver plate, sling and gun bag.
The silver plate is the plate on the bottom of the pistol grip. It's silver, and is stamped. KKK 80v No.28
If anyone has any ideas what that means, I'd love to hear it.

Here's a link to a pic of the plate.

I’m getting +/- 2560 fps with 250 gr Barnes 3X bullets and 61 grs of Varget. This out of a 21” barrel.

How about a picture or two of the whole rifle.

Here's a link to a few more photos, they aren't great, just quick shots with the phone.

A fellow Sako nut on another forum explained the silver plate inscription.
"KKK is shortened from Karjalankarhukoira, which is Karelian Bear Dog. Systematic breeding of the dog began in 1936, so 2016 was their 80th anniversary"

Thanks. That's a neat rifle, you should try and get as much literature as you can from stoeger/beretta/sako now while it may be available.
