I just got around to adjusting the trigger pull on my Sako 85, followed all the manual's instructions. I wanted to bring the trigger pull down close to minimum of what the manual says is 2lbs (2-4lbs range of total adjustment). So I turned the trigger screw counter clockwise, about 1.3 full turns, at this point the screw can still be untightened even more, and then I tested it out. Theres no way the minimum trigger pull is 2lbs on this rifle, it feels more like 11/16th oz at the most. And the trigger can be lightened even more! Has anyone else noticed this on their Sako rifles, that the trigger can be tuned out of spec? I know what a 2lbs trigger pulls feels like, my Tikka T3 had a true 2lbs trigger pull once the trigger screw had been tuned and Ive also fired a F class savage before and thing goes off the moment you touch the trigger. That's how I know that this Sako can go wayyyyyyyyyyyyy below 2lbs.

I never monkey around with triggers and usually let a gunsmith perform such task. My Sako 85 is set at 2 1/2 pounds and the single set is at 1 pound which is plenty good enough for hunting or at the range................just be careful.

Its pretty hard to screw up a Tikka or Sako Trigger adjustment, that's just one of the reasons I like them. I havent' even lightened the trigger on my Finnlight, felt good as is for a hunting rifle.
Goes without saying, but do the following tests without chambering a round.
Take your rifle, re-assemble make sure the safety is off. then slam the bolt closed a bunch of times. Hard. Like you would be if a bear was charging you. Make sure, that each time the bolt closes that the firing pin doesn't drop with the bolt closing. If it passed that test, close the bolt, safety off, drop the rifle (from a reasonable height ensuring no damage) onto the floor butt pad first. Make sure the firing pin doesn't fire.
After these two tests, I would guess you end up having a trigger pull set close to 2 pounds.

Sako videos say 2lbs and manual says 3lbs. If the sako videos were right and it came from the factory at 2lbs, then there's no way that I could loosen it another roughly 2 turns.
There's no way the trigger range is 2-4lbs, more like 0.9-4lbs.
