I'd take the M70 because I like CRF, the safety is nicer, the gloss bluing is nicer, and I'd mount a Leupold FX3 6x42mm for the difference in price.

.30-06 recoil is pretty mild from the ~9 pound rifle with a 4x33mm. If I cared about saving weight I'd put a McMillan Edge on it.

The Sako 85 is controlled round feed as well albiet in a different way.

I voted Sako as well and I'm a big fan of the 85 series but I don't consider them to be true CRF since the extractor is different than on a real CRF rifle.

The Sako extractor doesn't run for the full lenght of the bolt and a double feed is possible if the action is half closed and then the bolt cocked back and closed again. The rifle will more likely jam trying to double-feed. This would be impossible on a true CRF.

I tend to agree with you, but many of the other "CRF" actions out there don't grab the rim until the cartridge is half stripped from the magazine whether they have a mauser claw or not.
