I have one in .308 and love it. Very accurate and well made rifle. The trigger is amazing and the bolt so smooth to cycle.

A bit heavy once scoped but it's normal for a varmint rifle.

Clay tells me that mine should be here the middle of this month. I orderd one in 204 Ruger 12 months ago. I have shot a couple in the last year while I waited for mine, a 22-250 and a 243. They both shot and functioned very nice.

I had one in .260rem
It was the most accurate rifle in my safe. Ragged 1 hole 5 shot groups
What are they selling for new this year in the model 85?

I recently acquired one in .204 but have yet to shoot it. It is really good looking but thinking maybe should have got a grey wolf as its heavy but then again its a dedicated gopher gun and less likely to heat up if hitting a heavy colony.

Ok, I don't have the 85 Laminated Stainless Varmint, but I do have an extremely accurate 85 Laminated Stainless Hunter (aka Grey Wolf in Canuckland) in 7mm-08. The five shot group was shot at 100m.

My brother is currently considering an 85 Laminated Stainless Varmint in 204.
